Our History

DTS have been printing in Birmingham for over 30 years.

In 1976 Graham Wharton (founder) was working for a printer based in Telford. Despite exceeding his sales targets, the promise of directorship never came.  So he decided to set up on his own and DTS was formed on 1st November 1978. The first few years were very difficult but Graham had a young family and was determined to make it work.

In 1981 one of Graham’s main suppliers went into receivership and Graham managed to persuade a bank to loan him the money to purchase the company and the premises. Where we remain to this day.

In 1989 Scott Wharton, the eldest son, joined the printing business and has worked his way through the ranks learning from his father.

In 1999 Brett Wharton, the youngest son, also joined the company which enabled Graham to start taking more of back seat… although even today he is still involved in the business, passing on his knowledge and experience to maintain DTS position to offer printing in Birmingham.
